Wellness Clinics

The Teamsters Local 986 wellness clinics offer all plan members FREE:

• High-quality, confidential medical, preventive, and acute care
• Access to select prescription medications
• Telemedicine visits (PPO plan participants only)
• Mental health care
• Lab work
• Weight management support, including access to a clinical program and registered dietitian services
• After-hours call center

All Teamsters 986 members and their covered dependents can visit the clinics with no out-of-pocket cost!

Highlights of the Wellness Clinics

They have the same services as those from a primary care physician (PCP) visit. Local 986 partnered with Marathon Health (a specialist in health care clinics) to open two clinics. You can receive the same services as those provided by a board-certified PCP, including annual physicals and screenings, onsite lab work and select medications, chronic condition management, and more. As a member, you can even access nutritional services with a registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN) and enroll in a weight management program (use of GLP-1’s subject to provider approval). When needed, clinic providers will refer you to cost-effective, high-quality specialists and outside services.

If desired, make the clinic your PCP. You can make a wellness clinic your PCP or continue visiting your current provider. Physician visits outside of the clinics will continue to be subject to deductibles and copays.

Appointments are required. You must make an appointment before visiting a wellness clinic for your medical needs. However, same-day appointments are generally available. Contact the wellness clinic closest to you to schedule your appointment.

Weight Management Program

For help with nutrition, lifestyle changes, or weight management, all Teamsters Local 986 PPO members and their eligible dependents can now access a weight management program available through the wellness clinics. The program connects you with a proactive care team, including a registered dietitian nutritionist and wellness clinic medical provider, who can help you build sustainable habits, monitor progress, and determine whether GLP-1 medication may be clinically appropriate.

Note: GLP-1 medications for weight loss are subject to provider approval and ongoing clinical review. If approved as part of your treatment plan, prescriptions are filled through CVS Caremark and have a $200 copay per prescription.
